Newly included in the scope of accreditation are odor tests, formaldehyde and fogging
We have also expanded our accreditation in the field of sensory and emission testing. Based on a successful supervisory audit by the Czech Institute of Chemical Industry, we have been accredited for odor testing, measurement of releasable formaldehyde, and evaluation of fogging, i.e. condensation of volatile substances on glass or foil. These methods represent an important part of quality control for materials used in vehicle interiors, consumer products, and other applications where health safety and user comfort are key.
The newly accredited procedures allow us to assess odor intensity, identify health-monitored substances, and determine the amount of volatile components that may be released from plastics, textiles, rubbers, foams, composites, or adhesives. The results of these tests help manufacturers select suitable materials and prevent problems that can lead to complaints, customer dissatisfaction or non-compliance with automotive and international regulations, such as VW 50180.
The extension of the accreditation in the field of emissions allows us to provide results with full traceability to the requirements of the standards and with guaranteed repeatability of measurements. Customers can thus objectively compare materials, check the quality of deliveries or verify compliance with prescribed limit values. Accredited emission tests provide a reliable basis for technical assessment of materials and for quality management in industrial production.
